Weekly Update 10/7

posted Oct 7, 2018, 1:55 PM by Melissa Patterson
GOOD EVENING LIL’ CAT FAMILIES! This is Principal Patterson Calling with our Weekly Update!  We are kicking off our fall fundraiser this week!  Scholars will be selling cookie dough, pretzels, and butter braids.  The money raised from the fundraiser helps us pay for transportation for field trips, prizes for scholars, pizza and ice cream parties for attendance, ELOs and much much more.  On Tuesday after school at 3:20 in the media center, out PTCO will be meeting to discuss our Unified Improvement Plan and to begin planning a winter carnival for our scholars.  Also, on Tuesday, we have a glow in the dark Skate Night at Skate City.  Skate Night is from 6:00 to 8:00.  Parents, please plan to stay with your scholars during skating.  The admission is $4.50 plus $1.50 for traditional skate rental if needed.  The theme of the night is Neon Glow Skate and we are encouraging students to wear neon clothes so they glow under the black lights during the blackout skates that they will be having throughout the night.  Teachers will be reaching out to parents to schedule conferences.  This year, we will hold conferences after school during the week of October 22nd through the 25th. Scholars will have regular school days that week.  We want to remind parents that you can access the school calendar of events at any time by visiting Minnequa’s website. Parents, if you received a red and white family economic survey, please complete that document and send it back on Monday. This is very important in ensuring that we continue to be able to provide free and reduced lunch for our scholars here at MInnequa. Visit Minnequa.pueblocityschools.us to see all of the upcoming events.  Feel free to check it weekly as we update it as events and activities come up.
Thank you for all of your support and for helping make Minnequa an amazing place for kids!
Have a great week.
