Weekly Update 10/14/18

posted Oct 14, 2018, 3:03 PM by Melissa Patterson
GOOD EVENING LIL’ CAT FAMILIES! This is Principal Patterson Calling with our Weekly Update!  We kicked off our fall fundraiser last week!  Scholars are selling cookie dough, pretzels, and butter braids.  We are asking that each scholar sale at least one item.  The money raised from the fundraiser helps us pay for transportation for field trips, prizes for scholars, pizza and ice cream parties for attendance, ELOs and much much more. Our attendance last week was low around 89%.  Parents, please make sure that your kiddos come to school every day.  Mondays seem to be our lowest attendance rate day this year.  We need all of our scholars at school every day.
3rd graders will be going on a field trip on Tuesday morning to the Song of Pueblo.  Please make sure they are at school on time as we will not be able to hold the busses for tardy scholars.  Also on Tuesday, we will be holding our annual vision and hearing screening.  This Saturday, we would like to invite you to join us and Pueblo City Schools for the Community Peace Summit at the State Fair Events Center from 10:00 to 1:00.  Our Minnequa Choir will be performing at 12:00.  Mr. G will be at our booth with a magic show, and we will have some activities for kids to complete.   We want to remind parents that you can access the school calendar of events at any time by visiting Minnequa’s website. Visit Minnequa.pueblocityschools.us to see all of the upcoming events.  Feel free to check it weekly as we update it as events and activities come up.
Thank you for all of your support and for helping make Minnequa an amazing place for kids!

Have a great week.
